Functional fitness trains your core and upper/lower extremity muscles to work together and prepare people for daily tasks by simulating common movements you might do on a daily basis at home, work, or in sports.

Constantly varied
you'll see new workouts programmed every day: workouts with different movements, rep schemes, loads, and time domains. CrossFit programming strategically varies the workout stimulus so you're prepared for any and all physical tasks — which  means you'll never get bored!

Functional movement
Have you ever picked something up off the floor? Sat down in a chair and stood up again? Placed items up on a shelf? If so, you've performed deadlifts, squats, and shoulder presses. In CrossFit, we train these types of movements because they are the movements life demands — whether we practice them or not. They are essential to independent living

High intensity
No matter what you're looking for from your workouts — feeling better, looking better, sleeping better, being stronger — intensity is the most effective way to get you there. In CrossFit, we focus first on moving well with consistency, and then we work on increasing intensity. But a workout that's intense for one person may not be for another. Intensity is relative, which means the goal is to work hard within the limits of your own physical and psychological capacity, because that's where the results are

Nutrition is fundamental
Nutrition is the base of any and all health and wellness lifestyle!! CrossFit is a lifestyle characterized by safe, effective exercise and sound nutrition. We recommend basing your diet on lean proteins, garden vegetables (especially greens),  nuts and seeds, some fruit, little starch, and (little) no sugar. By adding in appropriate amounts of protein and fats (good fats) and cutting out any types of added or refined sugars from diet will help ignite any healthy life style and  weight loss journey!

CrossFit can be scaled to anybody, any age and any level of fitness.  It's fun, it's safe, and best of all it gets results.  Call or schedule an appointment here to experience it first hand for free with our free class or week!

Is CrossFit for me?
Yes. Everyone can do CrossFit regardless of age, injuries and current fitness levels. The program is modified for each person to help him or her safely become healthier and fitter. Grandparents and Olympians can perform modified versions of the same general workout.

Do I need to be in shape to start CrossFit?
No. CrossFit is the program that will get you in shape. No matter what your current fitness level is, you can start CrossFit. As you become fitter, workouts will become more challenging. Every workout is designed to help you succeed, improve fitness and move you toward your goals.

Is CrossFit Safe?
Yes. CrossFit training is very safe, and sitting on your couch is actually incredibly dangerous. In CrossFit boxes, credentialed trainers provide precise instructions and coaching to help people move safely and efficiently, helping people avoid all the diseases that come from inactivity, obesity and poor nutrition.

How will I get fitter with CrossFit?
CrossFit improves general physical preparedness (GPP). We have designed our program to elicit as broad an adaptational response as possible. CrossFit is not a specialized fitness program but a deliberate attempt to optimize physical competence in each of 10 fitness domains: cardiovascular/respiratory endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy. CrossFit was developed to enhance an individual's competency at all physical tasks. People who do CrossFit are prepared for all challenges, whether they come in the gym, on a playing field or as part of daily life.
